Voyspark Passport Index 2026
Methodology
The Voyspark Passport Index 2026 measures each passport’s power by the number of destinations reachable without a prior visa. This page explains exactly how the number is calculated.
What we measure
For each of the 199 passports, we count how many destinations can be reached without needing a visa applied for in advance.
How we calculate the score
The score sums three kinds of access: visa-free, visa on arrival and electronic authorization (eTA). It is the same method used by the world’s main passport indexes. The ranking is dense: passports with the same score share the same position.
The access categories
Visa-free: enter on your passport alone. Visa on arrival: issued at the airport or border. eTA: an electronic authorization requested online before travel. e-Visa: an electronic visa obtained before the trip (not counted in the score). Visa required: a traditional consular visa (not counted in the score).
Data source
Visa-requirement data comes from an open, public dataset of requirements by nationality, normalized by Voyspark. Country names are localized into 9 languages.
